Cookie Notice
What tickets-japan.com stores in your browser: a language cookie, a theme preference and PostHog analytics cookies and storage, why each is there, how long it lasts and how to block it.
Nuestros documentos legales se publican únicamente en inglés, y el texto en inglés es la versión que se aplica. Abrir la versión en inglés.
In short: tickets-japan.com sets no advertising cookies. We store your light or dark theme choice in your browser, set one small cookie if you switch language, and use PostHog to measure how the site is used, which keeps a random identifier in a cookie and in browser storage. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages.
1. Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage and session storage are similar spaces in your browser that the website can read but that are never sent to our servers by themselves. All of them stay on your device, under your control. This notice lists everything tickets-japan.com puts in any of them and explains why.
2. What we store today
| Name | Where | Set when | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
theme | Local storage | You choose light or dark mode with the toggle at the bottom of the page | Keeps the site in the theme you picked. If you never touch the toggle, nothing is stored. | Until you clear browser storage |
NEXT_LOCALE | Cookie | You switch to a language other than the one the site detected | Remembers your language (English, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese) | The browser session, normally until you close your browser |
ph_…_posthog | Cookie | Your first page view | PostHog analytics. Holds a random identifier so that your page views can be linked within a visit and across return visits. | 1 year |
ph_…_posthog and entries starting with it | Local storage | Your first page view | PostHog analytics. Holds the same identifier, the site that referred you, and settings PostHog needs to run. | Until you clear browser storage |
ph_…_posthog | Session storage | Your first page view | PostHog analytics. Holds the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you arrived by, for the current visit. | Until you close the tab |
ph_…_window_id and ph_…_primary_window_exists | Session storage | Your first page view | PostHog analytics. Tell one browser tab apart from another during a visit. | Until you close the tab |
In the PostHog names, the three dots stand for our PostHog project key, a long string of letters and digits that is the same for every visitor.
The theme entry holds one word, light or dark. The language cookie holds only a language code such as fr or zh-Hant. The PostHog identifier is a random string, not your name or email address. None of these follow you to other sites.
3. Analytics
We use PostHog to see which pages are read, which links and buttons are used, where visitors come from and where the site is confusing or broken. It records page views, clicks, the site that referred you, your browser, device type and screen size, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. It also records session replays: a recording of how a page is used during your visit, such as scrolling and mouse movement, with anything you type into a form masked before it leaves your browser. PostHog stores this data for us on servers in the European Union. Our Privacy Policy explains the legal basis, how long we keep the data and your rights.
Stripe, our payment processor, may set its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud. Those are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.
4. What we do not do
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking or social-media pixels.
- No selling of this data, and no sharing with advertisers. PostHog processes the analytics identifiers and events for us and for nobody else.
Our server logs record your IP address and the pages you request, for security and troubleshooting. That is covered by our Privacy Policy, not by cookies.
5. How to control what is stored
To remove the theme preference, clear the site's data in your browser settings. To remove the language cookie, clear cookies for tickets-japan.com or close your browser. Choosing a different language in the language switcher replaces the cookie rather than adding a second one.
Blocking cookies and site data for tickets-japan.com in your browser settings stops PostHog from keeping its identifier, but analytics requests can still be sent during your visit. To stop those, use a content blocker and block insights.tickets-japan.com, the address that receives our analytics data. That does not affect your language or theme settings. If you block all cookies and site data instead, the site keeps working but will not remember your language or theme, so you may need to pick them again on each visit. Browser makers publish instructions for managing cookies and site data under names such as "Clear browsing data" or "Manage website data".
6. Changes to this notice
If we add anything to the table above, or change how long an entry lasts, we update this notice and the date at the top of the page before the change goes live.
